Favorite Scene Friday! Alien: Covenant: What's your favorite scene?

Spoiler alert for Alien: Covenant!

Alien: Covenant recently hugged the collective faces of the world. What was your favorite scene? I guess for me it was the David and Walter stuff? And, less interesting, the David and Walter fight? Other than that, nothing really stands out to me as a "favorite". That's obviously not a good sign. I'll tell you what was not my favorite scene (or rather, not my favorite part of an otherwise awesome scene) the Engineers that David wipes out. They really didn't look like the Engineer(s) from Prometheus. And why the f*ck were they all just standing around like idiots? Aren't they geniuses? I did like the Xenomorph stuff, of course. Or is it Protomorph? 

I enjoyed the Neomorph infections when they were first starting to happen. I like when two or more separate groups of people are on walkie talkies together in a film. I think there's a term for that. Something about establishing the reality/geography of a film? Anyway, here's the trailer to refresh your memory.

Favorite Scene Friday! The Revenant: What's your favorite scene?

I'll just come right out and say this - I'm feeling pretty lazy this week. Hence, this FSF where I'm essentially asking you to do the work for me. In my defense, however, it's not just that I'm lazy this week, I'm on vacation. That's right - while you're reading this, I may very well be laying poolside. Or I could be shut up inside my hotel room...one of those. Also in my defense, there is a precedent for this type of FSF - way back in February of 2014 when we asked you for your favorite scenes from Gravity.

So yeah, The Revenant - the flick that finally won Leo an Oscar - just came out on home video this week. So, now that we've all had ample opportunity to watch the film (I just saw it for the first time a couple weeks back), what's your favorite scene? Here's the trailer to jog your memory.

Favorite Scene Friday! What's your favorite scene from Gravity?

I wanted to try something a little different for Favorite Scene Friday this week. Gravity, one of last year's best films, just came out on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday. So I wanted to ask everybody out there: What's your favorite scene from the film?

A cool thing about Gravity is that, despite the film taking place in virtually one setting, there are quite a few distinct, amazing scenes. So what's your favorite? Is it that first sequence where we meet Dr. Stone and the other characters? The initial destructive scene? How about the ending?  Don’t be shy - chime in down in the comments.
