Music Video Monday! Fun. "Some Nights"

"What's so civil about war, anyway?"

So if you've got a pulse, you've most likely heard  "We Are Young" by Fun. This week we've got another song by the band - "Some Nights", off their album from the same name. I came across this video on TV one morning recently and I honestly hated it at the time. Upon first listen you wouldn't necessarily associate this song with the Civil War but after a couple of listens I can see how it relates. Head over to Wikipedia to learn about the story in the video. They were going for something epic - the song itself doesn't even start until 1:03.

I guess you'd call this song "power pop", and that's honestly the only real critique I have for the tune itself - it's a little too "poppy".

I'm still not crazy about this video but the song's pretty catchy. Anyway, I hope you had a great Labor Day and I hope you enjoy what should be a short week!
