Favorite Scene Friday! The Karate Kid: The Final Fight

For those of you that need a crane kick to the chin to get you pumped up for work today, here’s my gift to you. First, I''ll set the scene. It is the summer of 1984 and Danny LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) has just moved from New Jersey to California. He knows no one, until he meets Ali (Elisabeth Shue), which makes him a target of Ali's ex-boyfriend Johnny (William Zabka) and the rest of the Cobra Kai dickheads. After one especially vicious beating, Mr. Miyagi (“Pat” Morita) agrees to train Danny for the “All Valley Karate Tournament.”

This scene is the culmination of Danny’s hard work. All the hours of wax on and wax off, painting, sanding floors and fly catching have prepared him for this moment. Danny has made it to the finals against Cobra Kai’s best student Johnny.

  4. Some karateka don't concur with rivalry, they accept in the event that somebody has an awful character, rivalry can just compound the situation, some karateka will show lack of regard to their adversaries, educators and refs, however I accept this to be uncommon and most of karateka at rivalry show regard and modesty whether they win or lose. You are what you do.
